Newsletter
I expect to be posting only once
or twice a year. And no, sending me an e-mail will NOT
automatically stick you on a mailing list, so have no
fear!

Has it really been a year
since I've updated the newsletter? For shame!
Whatever have I been doing with myself?
All sorts of things, of course! At the moment my obsession
is an in-progress kitchen remodel on our 1904 house. The
kitchen we tore out only had one working drawer, to give you an
idea of how small and dysfunctional it was. Our temporary
kitchen in the garage is actually easier to work in. All
cooking is done on a gas grill in the driveway, which amuses the
neighbors no end. But I'm becoming Mistress of the Grill --
thanks in large part to Weber's Big Book of Grilling. Did
you know you can do cupcakes on a barbeque?

The Garage Kitchen....
Hmm, that almost sounds like a good name for a cafe.
Heh.

I also attended my 20 year high school reunion this
summer. My poor husband, forced to endure it! As a
reward, though, I made arrangements for us to stay two nights on
the Metolius River in central Oregon, so he could fly fish.
On the way home we drove on the 'dry side' of Oregon and
Washington, stopping at Maryhill Museum in Washington for a
picnic lunch.

Columbia River at Oregon. Who says the Pacific
Northwest is soggy??

A BABE IN GHOSTLAND is
coming out in January 2007, from Pocket Books. Original
plans were for an earlier release date, but life tripped me up
and I lost several months of writing time (life has a way of
doing that, doesn't it?). I'm contemplating making the
book the first in a trilogy about long-lost sisters with
different psychic powers, but haven't yet decided what those
powers would be. The heroine of Babe is a medium, but what would
her sisters be? The possibilities are so very
delightful: fortune teller, animal psychic, super green
thumb, fire starter, object mover, empath, healer,
mind-controller...
You can pre-order Babe at Amazon or Barnes &
Noble, of course.

THE EROTIC
SECRETS OF A FRENCH MAID comes out in February, again
from Pocket. Contrary to the appearance of the cover,
this is not a sex manual! It's romantic erotica, but
frankly it's far more of a sex comedy than anything else.
Yes, the sex scenes are detailed and steamy, but there's a
hefty helping of humor thrown into the mix. And really,
who can take sex completely seriously? You've got to have
a sense of humor, or you'll die of embarrassment, just as the
heroine of the book almost does.

I'm working now on a new romantic erotica, again with lots of
humor. It's going to be a hoot, I tell 'ya -- a hoot!
Happy reading to you all,
Lisa
